combi boiler problem

by ukbill51 » Tue May 12, 2009 6:08 pm

My combi boiler makes a noise like an aeroplane diving when I turn on the hot water, when the water comes through hot the noise stops, there is no noise at all when the central heating is on, but if we turn on the hot tap the noise starts again

It could be many things and hard to diagnose without hearing it or seeing the boiler, the best advice I can offer is for you to get an RGI in to repair, it may juts be a washer or O ring needing replacing on the diverter valve, this happens on the Baxi Combi, but more of a a whining noise.

Could be a faulty valve or just a pipe or boiler case vibrating.
