Rendering Mix for Chimney Stack All manner of questions and solutions to problems and issues surrounding the subject of brickwork, blockwork and stonework

Can anyone tell me what a 2:3:1:3 mix is? A builder has given me a price fo re-rendering a chimney stack and specified this mix. I thought there were usually only 2 or 3 constituent parts for a render mix.
Could it be that the mix will include chippings?
