I have just purchased a very heavy dentist chair that I would like to move upstairs but I am concerned about the weight. Can anyone advise me about how much weight I can put on this floor. It is a 1925 build. I was intending to place it near an outside wall, at a corner. Please help as I would love to keep the chair.
Two men being able to lift the thing in tow different parts. In other words it breaks in two and it needs two men to lift it and walk with it with all their strength. How that translates into kg I have no idea. Does this help?
question69,
Assuming you are referring to ordinary men I would think the chair complete will weigh about 300 KG.
Floors are usually designed to take about 75KG per square metre so i think you should do some floor strenthening before installing the chair.
