"Carded" hasp and staple lock? Post your questions and get answers concerning many areas of this subject

Hello there, I hope you can help with this (hopefully) simple question. Decided I need a hasp and staple lock, but am very confused that they come in both normal and 'carded' versions... what does this mean?
