Boiler problems/black fumes/smoke from outside flu

by seve23 » Sun Jun 07, 2009 10:36 am

Hi,

There is black smoke/fumes coming from the outside flu when the boiler is turned on. Before we noticed this the boiler seemed to be working ok. Any advise on what the problem could be?

Thanks
Chris

hi

could be a few things like the insulation has come loose and is the flame is hitting it.

get it serviced by a gas safe registered person, they will be able to tell you whats wrong

hope this helps

Call a heating engineer urgently. It could be that a service is long overdue, or could be more sinister.
Do not take chances.

You need an RGI ASAP.
