Gas Hob Replacement Information, help and advice on many gas related subjects from gas fires to domestic appliances

Hi, i've noticed several questions on the forum asking how to fit a gas hob almost all recomending to find a registered fitter, thing is i want to replace my gas hob for a better one will i need to contact a fitter or is it just a case of swapping it over?
