Installing iso valves wihout boiler problems!! All aspects of plumbing questions and answers, help, tips and information

I need to install iso valves on hot & cold water and remove kitchen sink. I have a new combi boiler. Can I turn off the stop cock (?and boiler) - do I need to run the taps free of water? assume there is some in the boiler to install the valves.
Don't want to create boiler problem! if I switch back on. Can someone help? Sharon

Turn the boiler off then the main stop cock. You can drain as much or as little as necessary to do the job. When finished, turn the cold then the boiler on. Open taps to remove the air. Simples

Turn the boiler off, turn off the mains cold water stop tap, open all taps to allow water from the pipes to drain.

Cut pipes where isolation valves are to be fitted (there may still be abit water in the pipes depending on which way the pipes run) fit valves ensuring all joints are tight, turn water back on and check for leaks - run hot taps to allow air to escape - turn boiler back on - use as normal.
