Removing tiles from original tiles Advice and information on tiling and fixing tiles to a variety of surfaces

Hi there,

I would like to remove some kitchen tiles that have been laid over the originals without damaging the originals. How possible is this for a relatively novice diy-er?

If there is a position where you can see the edge of the tiles and the adhesive between them you could chiselling the top layer off. You will soon know whether removal is going to be practicable.
