Cork flooring sealer problems

by pauldyter » Tue Jun 23, 2009 10:24 am

:( We have just laid some new cork tiles in our bathroom, wanting to make it easier to keep them clean, we bought some "polyurethane wood & cork flooring sealer" and followed the instructions. It said on the tin that this should dry in 4-6 hours, but 5 days later it is still tacky. Can someone advise us on what we can do about this. How can we clean this off without damaging the tiles? What do we treat the tiles with instead of a sealer?
Help!!

pauldyter,
I would suspect that the tiles were already treated (probably waxed). I would think your only option is to remove the the tiles and lay new ones.
end
