Hi, new on here, need your help.
Just moved into an old house - would love to open up the fireplace in the living room again, but somewhere in its history they've taken out the chimney breast in the bedroom, and in the loft too, and just bricked up the opening to the chimney pots (which are at the apex)
So we're missing a flue in the bedroom and the diagonal flue up to the chimney pot.
Any idea what our options are?
We're looking for quick fix not too fancy pants - is it a breezeblock job up to the loft level then diagonal clay flue over to the pots?
Can we reduce the size of the chimney breast in the bedroom so it tapers at the top - or would that look dreadful?
TIA
