Do you have your UFH as a separate zone, with its own motorized valve and thermostat?
How do you control the heat input into the UFH?

ufh has its own motorised zone valve this wires back to a polyplumb master connection unit which in turn is controled by 4 individual room stats, that part isnt a problem. the bit i cant work out is whether i need a second zone valve for the upstairs rads or if they can be controlled by a room stat alone (glow worm climapro) which is low voltage without the need for an aditional valve.

oh and heat input into ufh is controlled by a modulating pump unit.

This seems a well thought out system, but if I understand correctly, when any one of the thermostats calls for heat, the whole system, less UFH, comes on. Have you fitted thermostatic valves to each radiator to control the overheating (tricky) The best solution is to control each radiator with its own mo/mo valve and room thermostat. This is far more accurate than thermostatic valves but, the location of the thermostats needs some care. Have you looked at wireless?
