Bell linked to sensor for security - external - need help! Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

Hi,

Hoping to get some great advice from experienced sparkys.

I want to install a bell inside and/or outside of my house that is triggered (single 'ding') when a sensor is triggered - imagine a low powered optical laser that is broken as person walks up my drive. I want to position at least 3 of these around my house and can source the parts and install myself.

However, what do I need?

Any good advice you can offer me?

Hi a number of comp's used to do outdoor PIR's which could switch lights if required but had a plug in socket unit which buzzed when triggered,
I believe 'Brakenheath' was one & 'home automation' another, not seen them advertised for a while though,
