I'm making up connections to a thermostatic shower valve. All connections are tapped 3/4" BSP.
I want to use 90deg elbows (3/4 x 22 mm Compression) on the hot and cold inlets but not sure how to get a good seal on the BSP thread.
Do the BSP threads need to be fully tightened? If so this leaves them pointing in the wrong direction, so I back them off a bit.
Manufacturer of the valve only says to use a proprietary thread sealer. I called them for further advice and they say plenty PTFE tape.
Do I put a load of tape wraps on the thread?
Would using a washer be advised?
Can anyone offer any further advice?
Many thanks.
