tiling on softwood

Hi, can anyone suggest the best way to seal softwood before tiling? also is there anything I can do to it to make sure the tiles stick well as I have had tiles drop off in the past, I presume I need some kind of key?

I am installing a shower cubicle and need to pack out the walls to marry up with the shower tray

Cheers

Don't tile on to wood. It is poor practice - well for walls it is.

If the shower needs boarding out fill the gap with plasterboard or better still Aquapanel. The tiles can then be stuck on with normal tile adhesive.

Thanks plumbob. It always amazes me how I never think of the obvious, you've saved my bacon, will get some aquapanel.

Thanks again Cheers
