Need to find small plug socket

by Julie1962 » Thu Oct 22, 2009 9:59 am

I need a plug socket to take a standard 3-pin plug but it cannot be wider than 7.5 cm.

Any ideas appreciated.

You'll be lucky, not come across anything like that, what's the reason maybe there is an alternative solution?

Not really

The socket is to fit a decorative column which is attached to a dressing table top. Bit difficult to explain really but there is not really another alternative.

The carpenters already cut the hole for the wiring so I cant even go back on the decision. If I dont find anything suitable I'll have to cover it up with something, maybe a small vase of flowers. I'd prefer my plug socket though!

Thanks.

looking at my inverter in the van , there is a socket outlet on there , measuring 4. 8 cm square.
THERES a chance u might get one from an electronics supplier, try mapplins electronics , then go from there and ask
