Hello - any advice regarding sanders would be appreciated.
I recently laid old parquet in a large room (and my thanks to those on this website who advised that I use lecol adhesive and bona kemi as a lacquer; excellent results all round).
Here's a question, though. I have some old parquet left over that I want to lay in a few very small box rooms. Thing is, the drum/floor sander I used last time would be a nightmare to use in such a small space, and I wondered if anyone has had to sand in a confined space using some other smaller sander? I appreciate that the big drum sanders use 'weight' to help level out the bumps and high spots, so I'm not sure if a hand held sander would work............. But if anyone has successfully used a smaller sander in a similar situation I'd be grateful for any advice or lessons learnt. The wood I've remaining, by the way, is a mixture of beech and Burmese teak.
many thanks!
G.
