Hi all, since moving into my house i have noticed that we have a rising damp issue in the living room. After laying new laminate flooring, its rose like a mountain in parts. The floor is VERY cold on the feet. So now we wish to get carpet, also its shaming that all the wood flooring has all come apart.
However, is there an easy solution to this rather than digging down, laying damp proof membrane and re cementing?
I been looking on the screwfix site, they sell moisture/vapour barrier sheets? could i lay this down before the underlay, then the carpet?
I appreciate any feedback as im a bit stuck on this one.
Regards
Lee
