Hello Chaps, one of my bedrooms has a slight damp smell, there is no visual signs of damp as of yet. I bought a cheap damp meter from Amazon which shows there is damp on an outside wall. Near the affected area is a hole for the Sky cable and one for the phone.

It would seem then that moisture is coming in here?

Would mastic and a plastic cable shroud/grommit sort it??

If that is where it is seal the entry around the cables on the OUTSIDE wall with silicone sealant.

Sealing it inside will not stop any water getting into the brickwork if that is the source of the water. Plastic cable grommits are really just cosmetic.
