Insulation dilemma! Help! Information, help, tips and advice on cavity walls, ceilings and lofts etc....

We have just bought old, cold farmhouse with zero insulation anywhere. While we plan to strip off lathe and plaster on the external walls, we are undecided as to what to do with the remaining internal walls. Other half wants to strip off lathe and plaster from all walls, insulate, and then plasterboard.. I wonder if using cavity insulation and then skimming over uneven lathe and plaster would be sufficient to insulate?

Hi, we are currently referbing a large house in scotland, we decided to put in some large windows so we had to get building control in and an architect, we had removed the old lathe and plaster to allow for lintels to be fitted the architect has recommended we use Kingspan kooltherm K18 it comes in various thicknesses but it ain't cheap, but might save you money on your heating costs, hope this helps

I think the lathe and plaster is OK with external walls but the main work should be on inside walls.A proper insulation is required for taking safety against condensation.You can take help from here
