spur installation

by Gareth » Thu Jun 14, 2007 4:14 pm

I need to instal two spurs from the existing 13 amp ring main from different power points and they will each involve taking cable to the other side of the room. The joists under the floor have insulation laid on top of plastic pea netting tacked to the underside of the joists with about one inch of space between the unsulation and boards. Does the cable just rest on the insulation to run parallel with the joists and through drilled holes at right angles to the joists or must it be tacked to them ?
Thanks

Hi Gareth, I presume you are in a 'Park home' or mobile home by discription of insulation? If so I don't know how you could clip under floor! we normally go straight down thro' insulation with small hole and clip under timbers & back up agn, sorry if I misunderstand set up,
