shower cold only in winter

by SPOONY » Sun Jan 03, 2010 10:23 pm

My shower runs fine during the summer, but as soon as the cold weather hits the water is freezing. No issues with water anywhere else in the house. What could be causing this and how can i fix it? Im a total novice as well!!

Do you have an electric shower that is mains fed? If so, then mine is the same, I just turn the temperature up on the shower, it's due to the water being very cold from the outside coming in and not "warming" up through the pipes.

Are the pipes exposed? You could put some insulation on the pipes, but to be honest there's not really alot you can do.
