I am unsure what is the best way to install wall mounted taps after knocking out the recess for the pipes do I secure these to the wall or some one said it is better to install a wooden plinth into the recess and attach the pipework to this? I also need to know if I should insulated the pipes before filling in with plaster an then tiling over. Please could you advise me of the best way to tackle this problem. Thanks

The tube running to the pipe should be sleeved with a bigger pipe ( 15mm pipe should be sleeved with 22mm and 22mm should be sleeved with 28mm) to avoid as much contact as possible with mortar/plaster to water carrying pipe. The pipe should be clipped to the wall every metre if teh run is long enough. Taps and clips can be fixed directly to wall using our fixing to masonry project.
