RADIATOR BLEED VALVE REPLCEMENT

by richardsonian49 » Sat Jan 23, 2010 11:47 am

Hi,
can anyone advise if it is possible to replace a radiator bleed valve which is spinning but doing nothing?

Will I need to replace the rad or has anyone got a plan.
Thanks

richardsonian49,
If its one where the valve is formed in the rad itself you may find a new centre screw is all that is needed.
If its one with the screw and body fitting in a tapped hole in the radiator you should be able to replace both.
Either way you are going to need a good plumbers merchant - take along the old valve as a pattern.
end
