anyway to make normal paint waterproof??

by Nhenderson » Sun Jan 24, 2010 10:41 pm

Just had new bathroom fitted and one wall has been painted in just normal matt paint, i didn't think it would be a problem as it is opposite side of bathroom to bath sink etc.... but there are splash marks on the wall already and it looks really unsightly.... anything i can do to make the paint waterproof so to speak so this doesn't happen? as ive searched everywhere for a bathroom paint the same colour and had no joy..... thanks in advance

Hi, you should be able to match the colour by going to one of the bigger DIY stores and getting them to mix the colour for you. It won't be a matt finish though as bathroom paint will have a silk finish. I would go for the Dulux range of paints personally as they seem to last longer than the others, are more hardwearing and any splash marks can be easily wiped off.
