NEW INSULATION IN LOFT

HI. I AM LAYING NEW INSULATION IN THE LOFT.THE EXISTING LOFT FLOOR HAS BEEN COVERED WITH CHIPBOARD AND NAILED TO THE JOISTS.I AM HAVING A GREAT DEAL OF TROUBLE REMOVING THESE BECAUSE OF THIS AND I THOUGHT OF LAYING ANOTHER FLOOR ON TOP OF THE EXISTING ONE.COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF THIS IS POSSIBLE AND HOW TO DO IT.IF NOT SOME ADVICE ON HOW RO REMOVE THE EXISING FLOOR.

MAZAMAN,
Lay sheets of celotex (or something similar) on the chipboard and overboard this with more chipboard. You will need to seal the ends of the joist cavities with something like mineral wool insulation.
