Painting cellar walls

by texteditor » Wed Nov 18, 2009 10:19 am

I have a cellar which although damp is not excessively so, things go rusty but only after a while, I want to convert it to brewery and workshop.
Is there anything I can paint on the walls to make it hygenic and a little more damp proof? at the moment it is brickwork painted with whitewash/limewash which is crumbling over the mortar but sound on the brickwork.
Thanks, texteditor.
