Salamander ct50 pump, not pumping properly

by laceyward » Sun Feb 14, 2010 5:23 pm

Could someone please help, have fitted a Salamander CT50 pump, but can not get any hot water to pump through.
Followed instructions and have water coming out of both hoses, but once connected to outlet pipes, it starts & stops and doesn't pump freely.
Once shower turned off, pump continuing to run, but not freely.

Any suggestions pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!

Have you installed the pump backwards?

You don't say what installation you have so there could be a possibility of negative head etc.
