Bathroom Cabinet Lighting

by Borbs » Tue Feb 09, 2010 9:29 am

I have a bathroom cabinet with an integral 12v light and shaver socket. Both have stopped working. The unit is a Roper Rhodes Alcora Class H 220-240v 50HZ. Lamp 20W 12V Halogen, Shaver Socket 230v 20VA.

The unit was installed 6 years ago any suggestions what is likely to cause both to fail? Assumed the bulb had blown but no change after fitting new. I do not use the shaver socket only noticed it did not work when I pulled the on off cord and no power on light illuminated.

Borbs,
There may be a fused spur incorporated in the supply to the unit - see if you can find one.

You failed from what you've done, I think that it's better to use with a shaver socket because it is suitable for outside zone. It can be also a mirror.seo services

Could be a fuse connection somewhere, worst case the transformers knacked.
