Painting over plaster in new build

by steve2584 » Wed Feb 24, 2010 6:36 am

Hi, im moving into my newly built house on friday and all the walls in the house have been painted magnolia and im wanting the kitchen and bathrooms to be painted white but ive been told that i need to wait 9 - 12 months before re painting the walls because of the plaster needing to dry, is there any truth in this? If so any way around it? thanks

Hello,

It's not important to wait 12 or 13 month,ya it's necessary to let it dry but not for long time as you said, there you can wait for 4 or5 month is enough.

Thanks
