Heating only works if thermostat high!

by goodgerc » Fri Feb 26, 2010 10:13 am

Hi. First post. Hope somone can help.

Just had a new boiler and room thermostat fitted. Boiler does not seem to fire up unless the room thermostat is cranked up to 25. House was chilly this morning so boiler should have kicked in. As soon as we crank thermostat upto 25 heating works and house gets too hot!!

Any ideas as to why this happens.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi, could you check the temperature where the stat is? If its about 25 then it would seem to be ok but in the wrong location. If this is a new installation cant you ask the installer to come and check it for you.
