I have just removed the wood cladding from our kitchen with the intention of fitting a new kitchen. there was what i assumed to be a false wooden chimney where the cooker sat inside with an extractor above. upon removing the cladding i discovered that the right hand side of the chimney was actually still intact, with the front face of the chimney still having bricks up to the false cladded ceiling, being supported by 2x1 timber, the left hand side has been completley removed through to the attic.
my problem is that i wish to remove the right hand side wall in the kitchen, but keep it intact on the next floor, as this forms part of the wall for the bathroom.
any advice would be greatly appreciated
