A quick question please...

I have a small area of wall (2400 x 950 mm) in my kitchen which I plan to dry line with plaster board, then use lining paper and emulsion

I know I should use drywall adhesive for dot and dab method of fixing board but wondered if I could just use bonding plaster on this small area or is this a bad mistake (adhesive comes in 25kg sack, only £7.00 I realise but I have a load of bonding plaster left from recent building works)

Wall being dry lined is plastered and emulsioned but in poor condition, hence dry lining option

Its not reccomended but we actually used to only use bonding years ago, it should be ok for that one board, dont mix it too stiff though and put plenty of dots on it.

Thanks for your reply and advice Dan the Man - will go ahead with the bonding plaster option

I'm pretty happy this will give a good result but just wanted to double check as I'm really against bodging things up
