we have just fitted bamboo flooring in our hall. the house is 1920s and the bottom of the door architrave is somewhat fiddly, ie decorative. we have managed to cut the flooring to the correct shape but how do we fill the gap? the gap is about 10mm-15mm as we had to allow for angling the pieces when clicking it into place. please help!!!!!!!! :?

Always a tricky one that, I always try and make it a tight fit round doors and arcs, its hard I know but theres not a lot you can do if you cant take the arcs off to begin with, try caulk

nooooooo cowboys! don't cut the floor to fit the architrave, cut the architrave so you can slide the floor under, cutting the floor to fit the profile of the architrive is not going to leave any room for the floor to expand, leaving a gap and filling it with sealent looks scruffy.
If you cut off the bottom of the architrave so their is a gap under it the same hight of the floor you can slide the floor under it so the architrave sits on top of the floor. This way the architrave sits on top of the floor so it looks perfect but the floor still has an expansion gap under the architrave, it's not quite as easy as it sounds but it's the way the pros do it. unfortunally their are far to many cowboys charging for awfull jobs lowering the standard that should be expected :x
