Push Fit Bath Taps

by Raisin Foot » Sun May 09, 2010 3:35 pm

I am trying to fix leaky bath taps - they're really old and whilst I've managed to get the plastic red and blue bits off there's no screw underneath, I think that means they're push fit taps. I have taken a picture of them here; https://s783.photobucket.com/albums/yy113/Raisin_Foot/ .
Please, please does anyone know how to get the top off them?
Thank you[/img]

Hi raisin foot to fix the washers you have to switch water off open tap fully then the body of the tap screws up and you will be able to undo the valve body and change the washer.

The silver dome under tap handle will screw up - try by hand - if not a pair of water pump pliers and an old cloth.
