(I realise theres a decking section but thought my question my be answered more quickly in this section)

Quick question guys....

Should i use nails or screws for installing my Joist support brackets, ive heard that nails have better tensile strength but some else reckons screws will grip better??

screws are always better mate. but unless your gonna have crowds of people jumping up and down on it, it wont matter too much if you use galv twist nails.
