Fitting Oven Under Gas Hobb

by Cell01 » Thu Jul 09, 2009 9:47 pm

Hi - Despite telling the guy who fitted my Gas hob that the oven was going under it he managed to run a pipe complete with tap at the back of the carcass which means my oven will now butt right up to the tap (which is plastic coated). Is this going to be a problem in terms of heat generated by the oven (I appreciate it's insulated, but am a bit concerned that there may still be heat to affect the plastic, or gas pipe itself) Am I worrying without reason??

Much Appreciated!

The heat wont affect the pipework but get the plastic coated tap changed for a brass one.
