Garden Wall

Had quotes for replacing picket fence with solid wall 16mtrs x 1mtr but feel they are taking advantage of single female pensioner.
To remove existing fence, lay strip foundations, building
1: Supply and lay Fyfestone £3327
2: Supply and lay 4" blocks and roughcast £2875
Is this reasonable?

I'm assuming that 1 and 2 are alternatives. Yes?

It doesn't look that far of the mark. The cost of materials has been going up and up and theres a lot of material in a 16m 3 foot wall and quite a bit of labour too.

If you are concered get at least two more brickies in to give you comparative quotes without telling them what the first one was. Then you'll know.

Cheers
