building new en suite - advice on ventilation Drainage and wastage systems and plumbing help, advice and answers

Hi,

We want to put an en-suite into a first-floor bedroom. We wanted to have a window but advised to go for Velux. I am worried that Velux is sited above the shower tray - won't this be a problem with steam/water etc??

Also, don't you have to have an extractor fan anyway for an en-suite nowadays??

The velux will deteriorate quicker as a result of being in the shower area.
Yes you do need extraction 3 air changes per hour will be necessary.
