Problem - our bathroom pedastal basin has a pop up waste operate by rods. I came home Friday to find the horizontal rod has snapped at the point where it enters the waste and attempts to lift the plug had pushed it down into its socket. I can't get anything down the side to lever it out, and it's far enough in to need a fair bit of force. Any tips before I seek professional help?
I should have said that DIY is not my idea of fun and if you put me on a scale from 0-10 (useless to pro) I'm about a 2 or 3 so I didn't want to start poking around and undoing things if they weren't going to help.
