Hi,
Needing some advice - im planning a single storey extension to my home - and am doing the drawing myself, I live in a end terraced house my problem is that the downpipe for the roof gutters is positioned on the far side of my neighbour property - obviously I cant join the new gutter to the existing downpipe as its on my neighbour property - how do i know if i have a underground drain on my property - and its location the area i plan to build on is current a cement / concrete drive !!

"how do i know if i have a underground drain on my property" you won't until you get digging, even then from the downpipe location you describe it's unlikely you have a surface water drain under the concrete.
