cutting mosaic tiles

by JIM PERKINS » Mon Aug 16, 2010 6:12 pm

I am having a go at tiling with mosaic tiles around my bathroom window.
On the inside of the window (either side of the windwsill i end up with half a small tile left, whats the best way to cut them.

I'M also lookng at tiling over the exsiting tiles,as long as there clean i cant see a problem.

I want to tile down to the floor (i have large skirtinng boards aorund the sides of the bathroom and the protrude out a bit from the tiles that are already up,if i take the skirting boards off would i be ok using plaster board to fill this place.

Thanks

JIM PERKINS,
Score the tiles and use a tile breaking pliers to snap them along the score line.
Unless you can seal the floor to the walls plasterboard is not suitable in a bathroom use one of the aqua boards instead.
end
