Laminate flooring: under-worktop washing machine too high

by SWally » Sat Aug 21, 2010 1:50 pm

Hi. Just about to start in utility room, laying combi foam underlay & laminate over sound thermoplasic tiles, laid on concrete subfloor. I've just realised this will raise aplliance by 11mm, which is too tight under worktop in corner of room only, as screed was laid a bit high along edge. Is there anything I can do about floor level along this edge under worktop without causing laminate to distort, or is only solution to raise worktop?
thanks.

SWally,
If its that tight remove the top cover of the washing machine and fit a fillet under the worktop so this area is not accessible.
end
