converting oilboiler in celler to gas

house has oil boiler in cellar. can i replace with gas?


our new house has old 15yr oil boiler in celler flued to chimney. house has gas.
would advise converting ? likely pitfalls? thanks

hi mate there shouldnt be any problems converting to gas providing you have a gas supply in the house? how is the current boiler flued ? is it direct to out side or does it have a open flue on it ? the boiler pipe work will be the same it will have a flow and return for the central heating only problem you may have is disposal of the oil tank but am sure a scrap man will take it of your hands if its a a steel tank

To change this installation to gas would require ventilation calculation and flue checked for suitability, may require to be lined. I would suggest you contact a local registered gas installer and seek advice.
