Newbie tiler!!

by ruth75 » Wed Sep 01, 2010 3:10 pm

Hi,

I am planning on attempting to tile my bathroom, never done anything like this before but watched a couple of tiling videos and it doesn't look too difficult! Anyway, the bathroom already has three rows of tiles going up the wall from the bath, so i was just wondering, do i still need to fix a horizontal or vertical batten before i start tiling or can i just line the tiles up based on the ones that are already there?

Thanks

Ruth

As long as they're level then you can just use them as your straight edge, check them with a spirit level.
