wooden shed floor

by Dave Warakomski » Tue Sep 07, 2010 4:45 pm

I want to build a shed 24 feet long and sixteen feet wide

I am going to use 6 by 6 inch by 12 feet ( two ) long pressure treated beams length wise five rows spaced four feet apart,

Then I want to build a platform ( deck ) of two by fours sixteen feet long perpendicular to the 6 by 6's spaced one foot apart width wise on top of the 6 by 6's . Then put three quarter inch 4 foot by 8 foot plywood down as a floor.

Would this support a 2500 pound car ?

Thank you

Dave Warakomski,
Short answer is no. All plywood has weak areas where the layers are joined.
end
