Best way to seal emulsion on a wooden cupboard?

by sandra_may » Thu Sep 30, 2010 7:07 pm

Hi, hopefully this is in the right section.

I have a small old wooden midi wardrobe which I painted with purple silk emulsion ten years ago. I am now painting this again with White silk emulsion to go into my daughters bedroom.

What is the best product to use to seal/protect/coat it?

Thanks in advance for any advice/tips.

Sandra

I wouldn't have painted it in the 1st place, but as its painted i would imagine the silk should just scrap off, if not a good sand and undercoat it with white 1st if its a darkish purple as it will be mainly dye so 2-3 coats of silk couldnt cover it.
