Socket Height

by misterg » Mon Jun 25, 2007 2:41 pm

Hi

I am moving some existing sockets off the skirting boards in a bedroom, and have just read a magazine article stating that they must be located between 450 mm and 1200mm.

Or is this only applicable to new builds?

My DIY manual, written in 2006 says this is optional.

I was planning to put them at about 350mm, to match other rooms.

Part M is a bit ambigous, as it says "should" not "must".
Can anyone shed any light on this?

Cheers

Great thanks.

As I am raising from about 30mm to 350mm, it will certainly be no worse than before.

Cheers
