Is it possible to have a pitched roof with a flat top

by scottrdavis » Thu Oct 07, 2010 12:28 pm

I am looking to extend my house and im have a few problem with the roof design.

basically the house at present in a box with a pitched roof with the ridge running front to back.

Im looking to do a two storey extension to the side, slightly ofset to the front.

Normally you would simply come out of the roof at right angles, however as the extension is running in the same direction as the ridge could i put a flat roof at the top and have it pitched up to it. i suppose its like a dorma with pitched sides.

THanks
Scott
