hot water tank

hi
i need advice,i have an indirect feed (two tanks) when i heat up my water for a bath the water comes out brown.is this the water boiler or something else
please advise

If its just the initial water out of the tap that is brown you probably have steel pipes feeding the bath.
If it continually flows brown then the hot water cylinder may have failed internally.

Hi Blacky

Have a look at the cold water storage tank (CWST), it may be that over time the bottom has become silted up with sludge.

This will feed both the hot and cold taps therefore if both C & H taps run brown it will need a clean out.

Sounds like the coil has gone in ur cylinder! It pins holes and mixes the the heating water with the domestic, which isn't good if ur got chemicals in ur system (brings a whole new meaning to chemical face peel)
