Metal plate behind gas fire

by mncollyer » Wed Oct 20, 2010 3:17 pm

While decorating I have found the metal plate behind the fire has come unstuck from the wall, can I just use a fabric type tape or is there a special tape required.

Thanks Mark

You need closure plate tape, but you should also get an RGI and don't use fire until it has been checked, as if the closure plate has come away it is not adequately sealed.
